What is our Cultural action about?


The Abertis Foundation also embraces the Group’s inclination towards historical and artistic heritage, as well as cultural values. It offers to the public patrimonial assets of exceptional interest such as Castellet Castle, which, in addition to being the headquarters of the Abertis Foundation, is also the headquarters of the UNESCO International Centre for the Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves (UNESCOMED).


Moreover, the Abertis Foundation collaborates with large cultural institutions with the aim of promoting art and culture, supporting the public administrations of the countries where it is present. In the last years it has sponsored numerous art exhibitions, giving visibility to artworks of renowned artists such as Dalí, Velázquez, Miró, Picasso or Gaudí, among others, making them travel around the world.

Initiatives

Exhibition project that explores the intergenerational dialogue between Joan Miró and American artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Helen Frankenthaler, Lee Krasner, Arshile Gorky, Alice Trumbull Mason, Jackson Pollock, or Mark Rothko, among many others, showing how their creative practices enriched one another and contributed to the development of 20th‑century art. 

The initiative seeks to promote the expansion of Spanish culture and to disseminate the artist’s creative universe, bringing his work to institutional spaces.
