The publication of the booklets compiling the contents of the conferences held in the abertis foundation institutional headquarters, Castellet castle, has continued in 2010, with an edition devoted to the “Day of Debate on the River Foix”, held on 28 January, which considered the ecological value of the Foix Natural Park and the example of respect for the environment symbolised by Castellet castle itself, endorsed by its ISO 14.001 certification.
A further booklet of the “Conference on European Good Practices on Entrepreneurship and Fostering of Employment in the Rural Setting” organised by the Catalunya Europa Foundation on 18 June, has also been published, describing experiences conducted in Finland, the United Kingdom, Italy and France. The objective of the session was to raise awareness of what some European countries are doing to retain the rural population and to create jobs in the primary sector, especially among young people.
The latest edition of the collection is devoted to the conference organised by the Cercle d’Infraestructures last 17 September, with the collaboration of the abertis foundation and the Cerdà Institute. The conference was titled “Prioritisation of infrastructures in times of crisis” and highlighted how investment for obtaining infrastructures with maximum effectiveness and profitability would need to be defined. Distinguished figures from the academic world, institutions and business took part in the lectures and debates.
