The abertis chair in Regulation, Powers and Public Policy was established in March 2006 with the aim of conducting research, generating ideas and disseminating knowledge in the areas of regulation, powers and public policy. The results of this research will help to inspire and train entrepreneurs and executives, since, as the current holder Xavier Vives states, “In the networks sector, business dynamics cannot be understood without first understanding the interaction between regulation and powers”.
abertis and IESE share the conviction that the exchange of experiences between the business world and university studies, harmonising the respective points of view, is a means of proven effectiveness in terms of society’s progress.
Apart from the publication of different works, studies and occasional papers by Prof Vives, such as, for example, The Financial Industry and the Crisis: The Role of Innovation, and studies such as that of Izabela Kordecka and Joan Enric Ricart, The Development of Public-Private Partnerships: The abertis group, the IESE Business School has organised several events in Madrid and Barcelona:
The IESE Business School has also organised various lunch seminars in which debate has focused particularly on new market regulations and the banking crisis.
