Castellet Medieval 2008
The town of Castellet i la Jornal on which lies the Castell de Castellet – headquarters of the abertis foundation – every year hosts a mediaeval fair. As well as being a recreational event, it makes it possible to promote the local economy and draw new visitors. The abertis foundation cooperates with the event by adorning the castle which also has open days throughout the entire weekend.
On 15 and 16 June, when the 7th edition of Castellet Medieval was held, the town’s streets went back in time to the middle ages and hosted exhibitions of mediaeval weapons, a market of typical products, trade demonstrations, knights parades and theatrical entertainment, among other activities.
