Viator. Natural and monumental heritage in the vicinity of motorways

A concern for the cultural and natural heritage found in the vicinity of motorways led the abertis foundation to publish Viator, the first in a collection of books intended to disseminate and make this heritage know to a broader public.

Written and documented by the History of Art professor Eduard Carbonell, Viator (traveller in Latin, one who follows the safe routes) takes us on a journey exploring various landscapes, architectural monuments and remains from ancient civilisations showing the roads that lead to the motorways of Catalonia, the Valencia region, Andalusia, the autonomous community of Madrid and Castile and Leon. From vestiges from Prehistory to samples of artistic movements from the 19th and 20th centuries, readers can discover everything in this unique book.
