Analysis of efficient strategies for the logistics of package distribution.
Despite not being one of the foundation’s publications, as part of its commitment to disseminating research and knowledge, abertis is publishing the papers that receive the abertis Award, which is granted once a year by the UPC-abertis chair.
In 2008, the award was granted to the PhD dissertation Analysis of efficient strategies for the logistics of package distribution, by Miquel Àngel Estrada Romeu. The paper seeks to provide solutions to the distribution of packages stemming from many origins and with various intended destinations, based on variables such as the method of transport and its capacity, delivery times and the number of loading bays per warehouse.
