UPC-abertis chair for Transport Infrastructure Management

The UPC-abertis chair carries out training and research activities in the field of transport infrastructure management. Once a year, the abertis Award is granted for research on transport infrastructure management, and it is open to all Spanish university students. The award includes a prize of 6000 euros and entails the publication of a paper. In 2008 the award witnessed its fifth edition and was granted for the dissertation Analysis of efficient strategies for the logistics of package distribution, by Miquel Àngel Estrada Romeo, PhD in Roads, Channels and Ports from the UPC.

Moreover, in 2008 the UPC-abertis chair organised training sessions such as the course for modelling public transport and traffic networks, the course on dynamic transport network models for the purposes of congestion charging and the seminar on transport.

Furthermore, during 2008 the UPC-abertis chairs held training events such as the Course in Modelling Public Transport and Transit Networks, the Course in Dynamic Transport Network Models for Congestion Charging and the Transport Seminar.
