The ‘P-Temps 2’ study of travelling time on motorways is finished
In 2008 the Cenit Transport Innovation Centre completed the study of travel time by road entitled P-Temps 2, set up by the abertis foundation in 2006.
After more than two years of work, the researchers led by Francesc Robusté have gained increased knowledge of measuring travelling time on a toll motorway, an indicator of key importance in forecasting the operation of the road network and in improving the level of service and information for users on roads.
The study was based on data gathered from toll tickets and from electromagnetic loop detectors situated along roads.
