abertis is one of the organisations backing the Chair in Leadership and Democratic Governance set up by the ESADE business school. The mission of this chair is to analyse models of business, public and social governance, as well as studying and promoting innovative leadership formulae able to meet the challenges of today’s society. Especially important among its lines of work are training programmes, organising debates and conferences and preparing studies concerning this subject. This chair, which began its activities in 2005, is occupied by the former president of the Generalitat (autonomous government of Catalonia) Jordi Pujol, and its backers include Isidre Fainé and Salvador Alemany, respectively chairman and managing director of abertis.
