I, Joan A. Margenat i Padrós, in my capacity as Secretary of the “ABERTIS PRIVATE FOUNDATION”, with registered address at the Castle of Castlellet, in Castellet i la Gornal, and with Tax Code (NIF) No. G-62053293

CERTIFY:

FIRST: That his foundation was constitued on 17th September 1999, before the notary, José-Luis Perales i Sanz, and entered into the Register of Foundations of the Generalitat of Catalonia, with No. 1356, subject to the decision of the Department of Justice, dated 12th January 2000.

SECOND: That through the decision of the Department of Justice, dated 12th of January 2000, it was classified as a charity of the cultural kind.

THIRD: That the tax benefits of the Abertis Private Foundation have been acknowledged, as established in Law 49/2002, of 23rd December, concerning “the tax regime of non-profit making entities and tax incentives for patronage”, insofar as they have accredited their fulfilment of the requirements established in Article 24, of the said law, 49/2002, before the Barcelona Delegation of the Inland Revenue.

FOUTH: That the Castle of Castellet, seat of the abertis foundation, came into being for the purpose of establishing itself as a centre for the reception and spreading of ideas for the furtherance of research into the repercussions of the territory’s major infrastructures, above all in terms of the environment, the economy and demography.

In this sense, it is the intention of the Castle of Castellet top establish itself as an example, with regard to the environment, in all of its activities. To this end, a certified System of Environmental Management, according to ISO Standard 14001, and developed an environmental policy that is specified in the following principles:

To develop and introduce work procedures that will prevent, reduce and eliminate, insofar as such is possible, the environmental impact of the activities carrried out at the Castle of Castellet.
To work for the continuous improvement of the environmental practices that we carry out.
To comply with the existing environmental legislation as well as with other commitments adopted on a voluntary basis.
To make responsible use of natural resources and to work towards minimising the production of waste and at the same time, insofar as such minimisation is not possible, promoting both recycling and the reuse thereof.
To train the whole of the organisation’s team and increase their awareness in order that they can participate in our environmental policy.
To establish and keep up to date an environmental system, setting annual environment goals and drawing up appropiate programmes to ensure that such are achieved.
To promote this environmental policy and our commitment to the environment to our suppliers, contractors and to the public at large.

And in witness whereof, I have drawn up this present document, subject to the sight and approval of The President.
