Cooperation together with the ministry of health and consumer affairs to set up the CNIC, an institution which sets outt with the aim of becoming an international leader in cardiovascular research, led by Valentín Fuster. The great challenge before the CNIC is to establish a new, bi-directional model for transnational research, both to allow basic knowledge to be applied to the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention of cardiovascular illness and to help to answer the scientific questions which arise from everyday clinical practice at the patient’s bedside.
Sponsorship of this programme broadcast by TV3-Televisió de Catalunya and closely linked to the territory of Catalonia and to the environment. 139 programmes are to be broadcast this year and 134 in 2010.
